Held over two days Te Maeva Nui NZ is set to become the largest Cook Islands cultural festival outside the Cook Islands.

Over 2,000 Performer come together to celebrate Cook Islands culture at its finest.

This Years Theme

Theme – “Te Taui’anga Reva” CLIMATE CHANGE

The selected theme for Te Maeva Nui NZ Festival 2025 is climate change. This theme highlights one of the most urgent and pressing challenges facing our planet today. Its effects are already being felt worldwide, from rising sea levels to extreme weather events, and they disproportionately impact vulnerable communities.

Te Maeva Nui NZ festival is a platform where our small nations’ voices can be heard. We aim to raise awareness through story-telling about its far-reaching consequences, promote urgent action and inspire individuals to take responsibility for protecting our homelands.
